ABL WORLD SERIES!

Tiverton battled the tenacious Taunton Independents sweeping the
Independents in two one run games. Both teams played aggressively with tremendous desire but only one was to be awarded
the covetted 1st place honor.
It was a very competitive season and to all the teams who didn't
make it to the finals this year you'll get another chance in 2012. See you next season.

12U
Fairhaven Excaviting
the 2011 ABL World Champions
Nov. 12, 2011
Fairhaven: Acushnet Red Sox won the first game and Fairhaven Excavating
took the second.
The showdown begins on Nov. 13, Sunday at 10 am at the Fairhaven Little League
Complex in Fairhaven, MA
Good Luck, play to win and have fun.
Nov. 13, 2011
Fairhaven, MA: 7 inning game. The 3rd game was a thriller with
the score 1-0 in the 5th inning in favor of Excavating (home run by Ashworth).
Jake Ashworth pitched a complete game while hitting a Solo HR in the 5th for
the 1-0 lead, along with him hitting a Sac Fly to score Ian Furtado for the insurance run in the 6th.
Ashworth, the hard throwing pitcher for Excavating, had enough
juice in him to control his team's fate giving his underdogs the title 2011 ABL Champions
It was a game the fans and the players will not forget having all the
ingredients of a Classic. Pitching (powerful, masterful), defense (vitually errorless) and hitting (power, line drives,
bunts)... Both sides deserve to be #1 but there's only room for one team at the top.
The Acushnet Red Sox vowed to be back next year with vengeance and the Fairhaven
Excavating, the World Series Champions, said they will return to vehemently protect their title next year.

14U ABL Champions
the SouthCoast Knights of Fall River, MA
Nov. 12, 2011
Fairhaven, Livesey Park: It was a combination of good pitching, good fielding
and good timely hitting all bundled up to showcase the 2 best teams in the 14U ABL. The drama, the suspense, the cries
and the sighs created two of the best games of the season.
The South Coast Knights (Fall River) hosted the Plymouth Rox and neither team
would bow to the other. The guys played hard and they played with spirit...
The first game was won by the Knights and the second had to be suspended because
of darkness.
With the Knights leading going into the 7th inning the Rox had a runner at 3rd
and scored on a pass ball sending the game into extra innings. Two more scoreless innings were played before the
sunset causing the game to be suspended. Tomorrow Nov. 13, Sunday at 10 am at the Fairhaven Little
League Complex on Shaw Road the game will be continued.
If Plymouth should win this game then the tie breaker will be played right after.
Good luck to all, play to win and have fun.
